For one year, fifty-two weeks, I have been
cutting a weekly gay guide magazine, NEXT. This series is a visual diary
and technical exploration of paper cutting. The cutting is both a ritualistic act of
violence and a way to respond to a proscribed fast-paced life of partying and
mingling in a specific gay culture that is both celebratory and callous. |
